Ben Henderson does it again, wins when most people think he lost. It happened again, Henderson is now 8-1 in the UFC and all 8 victories by decision. There’s always going to be different opinions on who won a close fight, when you look at punches landed, significant strikes, takedowns and who was aggressive but it seemed clear that Thomson had put Henderson through a grappling clinic for much of the fight only to lose by split decision.

Not much more to say other than Ben Henderson has become very good at doing just enough to win his fights.

Sergio Pettis loses for the first time in his career. Pettis appeared to be on his way to a decision win when he got submitted with just seconds left in the fight. Some good news for Pettis, he was awarded a fight of the night bonus for his efforts against Caceres.

In the nights biggest upset, Nikita Krylov +320 blasted Walter Harris -400 into submission soon after the opening bell. George Sullivan +160 won by unanimous decision in the 2nd bout of the night. The 3rd and final upset of the night went to Alex Caceres +170 who also got submission of the night(the only submission of the night). Overall, favorites went 8-3.

Stipe Miocic batters Gabriel Gonzaga en route to unanimous decision victory. Both men threw hard punches but Miocic was in total control using his speed to stay out of range and land strikes pretty much whenever he wanted. Miocic never really pressed for the finish.

Jeremy Stephens goes to 3-0 as a featherweight, coasting to a decision win over Darren Elkins. Elkins was too slow, and was unable to land a single takedown. Stephens landed some good punches and pressed forward most of the night.

Donald Cerrone, Eddie Wineland, and Daron Cruickshank all finished their opponents but it was the “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone who took home the bonus for Knockout of the night.
