In the main event, Carlos Condit battered Martin Kampmann eventually getting the finish in the 4th round. Kampmann was looking to “hold” Condit and wrestle him but after being somewhat successful in the 1st round, Condit began to stuff takedowns and land strikes. Despite being just 31 years of age, Kampann seemed to look worn down probably due to the high number of wars he’s been in recently.
In the co-main event, Rafael Dos Anjos surprised everyone taking the fight right to Donald Cerrone. There wasn’t much drama when the fight ended after 3 full rounds as the obvious winner was Dos Anjos. Rafael knocked Cerrone down in the 1st and was the aggressor throughout the first 2 rounds landing strong punches and takedowns. Cerrone started
to come on in the 3rd but it was too late. Cerrone was the only significant favorite that lost on the card.
In other action; Brandon Thatch was “as advertised” stopping Justin Edwards in the 1st round hurting Edwards with a head kick and knees before finishing the fight with some ground and pound.
Dylan Andrews injured his shoulder and got beat up for 2 rounds before coming on in
the 3rd and knocking out Papy Abedi in a nice comeback victory. There were 3 first round submissions as Kelvin Gastelum, Jason High and Zak Cummings got quick victories. In the first fight of the evening, Abel Trujillo and Roger Bowling had their bout declared a no contest when Trujillo landed an illegal knee which hurt Bowling so much that he was
unable to continue. All the results are shown below.
